Making products from coffee grounds
Coffee recycling : reusing a drink!
The recycling specialists Les Matériaux Urbains repurpose coffee grounds into usable objects.

First dehydrated, the coffee grounds are then shredded to obtain homogeneous granules. These are then heated and pressed into moulds to create designer furniture, decorative objects, advertising media, wall coverings and even works of art.
Shoe brands which repurpose coffee grounds include Xpresole that make vegan and water resistant shoes.

RE:Ground, a collaboration between Nespresso and the French startup Zéta launched a shoe made from 80% recycled & upcycled materials. They incorporate Nespresso coffee grounds in its vegan leather, its outsole and insole.
